THE DIFFERENCES
The screen is now 10 inches in size on the TM7 and has a simpler layout with a multi-touch display offering a completely new Guided Cooking experience, so the screen is a lot clearer and much nicer set out as you’ll see in the pictures. When you add the ingredients to the bowl, it automatically marks them off in the ingredient list, and if you’re going to skip any ingredients, you can tick them off yourself with the ‘mark’ box at the side. And don't worry if your hands are wet, the screen is designed to cpe with this!
The stainless steel bowl is a 2.2 litre bowl, the same as the TM6 so it works with all cookidoo recipes. You also have 200 recipes pre loaded on the TM7. The stainless steel bowl is covered with a black ribbed plastic coating to provide better insulation of the bowl, provide a Thermomix to table option given the sleek design and helps to avoid hot bowls.
The motor on the TM7 has the same power, but it is a lot quieter with a silent motor.
It has the open cooking mode, so you just set the temp to what you want to cook and the blades won’t turn around, ideal if it’s a delicate ingredient etc & also added browning mode as manual browning mode so it means the browning mode can cook up to 160 degrees by adjusting the temperature yourself whereas on the TM6 it is just one temp. and you can only access this by following a recipe.
The base has a subtle green light behind the screen that goes red as it gets hot and the base also now has a Slider built in to it which stops any movement on the surface during dough mode or and to keep it stable.
The Varoma® has been redesigned to a better shape to provide 45% more steaming capacity compared to the TM6. The total capacity of the Thermomix® TM7 Varoma® set (with the tray) is 6.8 litres as opposed to 3.3 litres on the TM6, so that's quite a jump in capacity, yet doesn't appear to be a lot bigger.
Also with the upgrade of the tech in the TM7, there will be better scope in the future for modes to be added to it.
